Paintings and prints on the theme „Stories from another world“ or „Stories from elsewhere“.
The world is not just what we see around. Our soul has its inner landscape, too. I travelled through these places inside me. What I had experienced there, I at first sketched in a small visionary diary. Then I engraved the stories into tough linoleum and printed. Some of the visions were such strong images that thez seemed to be worth visualiying them large-scale. So I started to make a linocut two meters wide. The color of the linoleum was a prette brick red and the parts engraved were white and the motif sketched in pencil dark and vital, so the picture arised in advance of printing the matrix. I engraved two other images like this one more. All the pictures are unearthly paradisial landscapes, because these were the places where everyone would love to dwell, for ever. And these paradises are not far!
